Enterprise Edge Evolution from Closed to Open

From operating systems to databases, the closed core products of large vendors were introduced with “competing” open source initiatives that emerged in the 90s. These initiatives emerged mainly as a revolution to counter the monopolistic tariffs of the closed products and not with a clear business model in mind. Fast forward to today, open source has become a norm, trusted by large enterprises, services providers and vendors and offered in various business models.

In this webinar, we’ll examine the evolution of SD-WAN and provide our viewpoints on the role that open source has played and will continue to play in the enterprise edge. We will also discuss the implications of open source, open standards, open architectures and open interfaces (APIs) for the participants in the SD-WAN and SASE ecosystem.
